Science Expert Sharing Series (2) : Professor Stephanie Ma

JC CoolScience hosted another expert talk in August 2025, featuring Professor Stephanie Ma from the University of Hong Kong and Professor Terence Lee from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Professor Ma’s session, titled “Biomedical Sciences and Me,” introduced primary teachers to cutting-edge biomedical topics, including genetic testing, cancer immunotherapy, and mRNA vaccine technology. Using real-world examples and clips of planarians, she demonstrated how biomedical sciences, such as regenerative medicine, connect to everyday life and healthcare. The talk enriched teachers’ scientific knowledge and inspired them to incorporate engaging experiments into inquiry-based classroom activities, fostering relevance and curiosity among primary students.
