JC CoolScience Carnival 2025: Igniting Science Interest through Inquiry-Based Learning
Last update : 7 Aug, 2025
The JC CoolScience Carnival 2025, held from 4 to 6 July, was co-organised by the Hong Kong Science Museum and designed in partnership with the renowned UK science communications team, The Royal Institution. Over the three-day event, the Carnival attracted more than 12,000 attendees, including children, parents, and teachers.
The Carnival adopted inquiry-based learning approach, featured 9 science theatre shows, 14 family science workshops, and 8 interactive science booths. These activities encouraged children to observe, ask questions, and experiment, allowing them to explore scientific concepts through hands-on learning experience.
The event aimed to promote public engagement with science and support learning both inside and outside the classroom. The Carnival successfully sparked curiosity and wonder in science among children, nurturing early interest in the subject and laying a strong foundation for future science education.
